Reports say Gwen Stefani is pregnantHello it's Wednesday, January 30, 2008. I'm Rebecca Field with today's UPI entertainment update. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are expecting their second child. Rossdale's father confirmed the pregnancy to People magazine. A British newspaper says she's about 3 months along. Stefani and Rossdale already have a two year old son Kingston. The pair married in London in 2002. Britney Spears is reportedly reuniting with her mother. The pop star's mom Lynne arrived in LA on Monday and has been seen around Beverly Hills with the singer. The pair even stopped by a Mercedes Benz dealership yesterday. But sources say the two have been arguing. One witness says they seem unhappy and tense with each other. Former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Marie Osmond is returning to daytime talk. The singer will reportedly host a new show called "Marie"...starting in the fall of 2009. Osmond says she's always wanted to have a fun and informative show for women. But it's not her first time on daytime TV...she and he brother Donnie hosted a talk show several years ago called "Donnie and Marie." A New York judge is denying foxy Brown's request to leave jail early. The rapper apparently wanted to leave because she needs to see a doctor for her hearing aid. She says she's deaf without the device...which was reportedly destroyed when she was hit by another inmate. The judge reportedly decided against the request because the rapper had no medical backing for her claim. Brown has been in jail <b>...</b>

SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS 2008.Before the string of awards for theatrical films were given out, the mob drama "The Sopranos" swept the board, taking the trophy for best cast in a TV drama and the best actor and actress awards for James Gandolfini and Edie Falco in an emotional finish to the series that ended in June. "No Country For Old Men," directed by Ethan and Joel Coen, took the award for best ensemble cast and Spanish actor Javier Bardem won the best supporting actor award for playing a cold-blooded killer in the movie. "No Country" also won the Directors Guild Award on Saturday and has eight nominations for an Oscar next month. SAG's best supporting actress award went to veteran Ruby Dee for her role in "American Gangster." Britain's Julie Christie, 66, won the best actress award for playing a woman with Alzheimer's disease in "Away From Her." Christie is also heavily tipped for an Oscar. "It's lovely to receive an award from your own union, especially at a time when we are being so forcefully reminded how important unions are," Christie said in one of several comments on Sunday about the bitter dispute between Hollywood screenwriters and movie and television studios. British actor Daniel Day-Lewis, who won the best actor award for his role as a greedy early 20th century oil baron in "There Will Be Blood," dedicated his trophy to Ledger Ledger, 28, who was best known for his role as a reluctant gay cowboy in "Brokeback Mountain," was found dead in his New York apartment last week.
