Burma: It Can't Wait- Myanmar Celebrity Campaign PSA Montagewww.USCAMPAIGNFORBURMA.org Ellen Page, Will Ferrell, Sarah Silverman, James Cameron, Jason Schwartzman, Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne and more.. Aung San Suu Kyi (pronounced Ong Sawn Sue Chee) is the world's only imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize recipient. Suu Kyi is not just a prisoner, she is the rightful leader of Burma (also known as Myanmar). She led a political party, the National League for Democracy, to win 82% of the seats in parliament in Burma's last democratic election. Because of her peaceful fight for human rights and democracy, Aung San Suu Kyi has been forced from her children and family. (On May 27th, despite the outpouring of humanitarian aid offered in response to the cyclone, the military junta chose to extend her house arrest by another year, rather than to release her, as had been scheduled.) Aung San Suu Kyi has appealed to people around the world to help the struggle for human rights and democracy in Burma, saying "Please, use your liberty to promote ours." The Human Rights Action Center and the US Campaign for Burma have joined together to create "Burma It Can't Wait," a first-of-its-kind, 30-day campaign using influential celebrity voices to help build a million-person movement to free Nobel Peace Prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi and the people of Burma. People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People of 2008We've got all of the details on People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People of 2008. The annual issue rocks super celebs, hot-shot couples and even entire casts from upcoming tv shows. The honorable front cover goes to 29-year-old blondie, Kate Hudson. Inside the mag pages, this covergirl comments that she barely has enough time as a mother to get pampered or even to get a little r-and-r -- and it certainly doesn't show on this hot mama. Another new-mom actress topping the Beautiful People list is the sultry Selma Hayek. As an ambassador to a new UNICEF program partnering with Pampers, this do-gooder melts our hearts. Mary J. Blige links beauty to get this, NO drama and even reveals some personal beauty tips. While some celebs such as Rumer Willis and Christina Applegate get to the nitty-gritty about specific beauty treatments that really work -- can we say manicures and airbrush foundation? -- other superstars said they simply feel most beautiful when in good company. Sarah Silverman feels best during chill-out sessions with her comedian friends, while Julianne Moore loves her natural fiery red locks. For the People shoot, some of the most beautiful featured ladies opted to wear zero makeup, and trust me, they're still looking pretty darn good. Some au-naturelle peeps include Taylor Swift, Vanessa Hudgens and Zoe Saldanya. And we certainly can't forget about the MEN in this issue. Miami Dolphin's Jason Taylor is some serious eye-candy in his shirt-less photo. Low-key ...
